2022 Mongolia Horse Riding Tours with Stone Horse Expeditions are filling fast. We are grateful to the many riding guests who kept hanging in there, pursuing their riding adventure dream in Mongolia and once again shifted their booking to 2022. We also understand that not everybody is able to do that. Given the Covid-19 trend and economic recovery plans in Mongolia, it is fair to assume that entry into Mongolia and travel in the country will resume in 2022.
After confinements and travel restrictions, travelers are keen to once again venture to new destinations, and to explore new ways of travel. Riding Adventures in Mongolia are a great way to rebound. Immerse yourself in nature, feel the freedom of open spaces, connect with your Mongolian trail horse. Horse trekking is a very special experience – traveling with a herd of saddle and pack horses, as a small group of adventure travelers, making camp at scenic sites.
The Stone Horse team has stayed together throughout the pandemic, running day rides and short treks whenever they came up, taking care of the horses, equipment and facilities. And of each other. Everybody – two and four legged team members – are ready to get back to expedition riding and longer treks. We have horses for each riding level, all experienced trail horses and companions who know their job and the terrain they travel in. They will take you to amazing places – in the great landscapes, and within your self.

Below is a summary of spots available for the 2022 Mongolia horse riding tours we offer. Five 10 Day horse treks in Gorkhi Terelj National Park. We have added another autumn trek, so now there are two options in October to join the 8 Day Autumn Horse Trek in Gorkhi Terelj National Park. And there are our two classic adventures, 14 Day Wilderness Horseback expeditions into the Khan Khentii Mountains, in early August and early September.

Day Rides
If you want to spend a day away from the city whether you are long term resident or short term visitor in Ulaanbaatar, consider our day rides. Fully supported, great get aways for families, groups, couples or solo travelers. Our longer day rides are into the upper Terelj Valley of Gorkhi Terelj National Park. On shorter rides we explore the valleys and ridges of the more remote areas of Ulaanbaatar’s Green Zone. You will be surprised of these beautiful landscapes, with great scenery and wildlife.
